I stand in solidarity with the Rainbow Flag..
For me it represents respect for an inclusive and diverse humanity.
It also represents freedom and fundamental human rights.
At a time when so much division, bigotry and polarity exists.. we need to find middle ground.
Listening as well as talking.
Bridges rather than divides.
Love to ALL and for ALL!!

I want future generations to be able to look back and say, “We changed the course of history and avoided global catastrophe. Leaders decided to take climate change seriously. They did the right thing and took action.”
Here is an extract from my Letter to Tomorrow, written as part of the #GreatBigGreenWeek. #LettersToTomorrow show that people everywhere are ready and willing to make changes to keep the next generation safe - now it’s time for our leaders to step up.

To mark a decade of impact in the fight for gender equality, #GucciChime invited various  artists, activists and advocates to share their personal reflections on what gives them hope for a gender equal future. Watch and share this video to #ChimeIn for gender equality. We chime as one.
#GucciChime launched 10 years ago to convene, unite, and strengthen the voices speaking out for gender equality. Today we continue to #ChimeIn for gender equality, because none of us can move forward when so many of us are still held back.
We CAN chime as one!
ps…Gucci is undoubtedly a high luxury brand. It has actually been supporting the issue of empowerment for women and girls for 10 years. When it comes to spreading the message of Global Feminism GUCCI has a MASSIVE influence on women who are resourced enough to purchase their items.. Spreading the word to EVERYONE - ESPECIALLY those with means I think holds power in all kinds of ways.
C’mon rich bitches pull your weight!!! 🤣

I heard the news about Tina Turner earlier today and I’ve been trying to come to terms with it ever since.
There are SO many things I want to express about this extraordinary woman/ force of nature, that I don’t even know where to begin.
What I might say is that
if you want to understand anything about the ‘power’ of music - gospel, soul, r n’b, rock, pop - then watch any of Tina Turner’s performances.. It’s ALL there. Tina was - IS and ALWAYS will be the Female Shaman and Goddess!!!
Rest in Power beautiful Queen…

A Close Encounter…
I found this little fellow in the kitchen sink. He must’ve flown in through the open door…
He was totally in shock, which allowed me to very gently pick him up in a towel and carry him outside to hopefully recover.
Minutes after I filmed him, he turned around and hopped away- Alive and ready to fly….

It’s Mothers Day in the US. So I’m sharing these flowers with all the ‘Mothers’ out there.
Every one of us was borne by a Mother - with a lineage of ‘mothers’ going all the way back through the origins of time..
A humbling and miraculous phenomena, which should leave us all with a sense of awe and appreciation for the female gender. In a world where one in three women experience gender based violence in their lifetime it really makes you question why this grievous phenomena exists.
What has lead men to abuse their wives, partners, girlfriends - daughters and women everywhere across the world in this appalling way? Honour your mother and respect all women everywhere!

I’m so proud to announce the @thecirclengo has formed a partnership with The Rahela Trust @rahelatrust - a UK based Afghan-led charity, striving to create positive and progressive change for underprivileged women and girls in Afghanistan, by providing leadership training and mentorship.
Our shared vision is that women’s rights are respected in a country where they are fully involved in the social, political and economic aspects of life.

We have a squirrel who loves to hang out… literally! I’ve seen dogs do this - but rarely squirrels!
Just chillin’ in the shade!

A while ago throughout ‘Lockdown’ remember that? I recorded a Zoom conversation with my friend ‘Storm’, who has subsequently produced, directed and performed a short film entitled GHOSTSINGER: Genesis which will be screened tonight at the Look Theatre in Glendale.
It’s been Nominated for 3 awards, Outstanding Cinematography, Outstanding Sound & Outstanding lighting.
Proud of my chum and all the creative effort he’s put into making this! 🥳🥳🥳

Two weeks ago in my HAPPY place!!!
A wonderful visit to the family home of world renowned scholar and author - “Robert Graves” in the village of Deia - Mallorca.
What a fascinating experience.
Decades of change have made everything so vastly different in contrast to how life must’ve been back then in the Forties when this home was built. It made me feel especially nostalgic for donkey carts, peace and a slower pace of life that will never be returned to this magical island.
Traffic roars past the house now - while ‘tourist’ estrangeros like myself traverse the little streets, restaurants and cafes in search of an idyll that is somewhat spoiled by our very presence.
The irony of a tourist economy that both sustains and destroys at the same time.
I ❤️Mallorca though .. and always will!

I just came upon this somewhat surreal photograph, taken backstage at the concert for Nelson Mandela in 1988 at Wembley Stadium. I look as if I’ve been ‘cut and pasted’ on, but it’s for real! Richard Gere introduced Eurythmics to the stage and Harry Belafonte gave a speech. I had the privilege to meet him again several years later at an Amnesty International Event in New York.
He was an exceptional artist and human rights activist, highly intelligent and acutely articulate, with a quiet statesmanlike dignity.
A hugely significant and iconic spokesperson from the 60’s civil rights generation, with a fully lived experience of the issues facing the African diaspora, throughout his life. What a unique and special man! He leaves a tremendous legacy behind and will always be remembered.
