The ‘normalisation’ of wounding and killing children seems to have become ‘par for the course’ wherever there are war zones. Those of us who are appalled and opposed to this degradation of humanity continue to do our best to call it out by whatever means we can.
Many people feel as if there’s little to nothing they can do.. Few people know more about situations like these than @james_unicef …

Dear Friends,

An Iranian hospital room filled with tiny new born babies under imminent threat of death by Israeli bombs… This incredible Iranian nurse is rushing in to safe their lives…
THIS kind of heroism is absolutely extraordinary..
I cannot even begin to imagine the mind - set of taking the lives of Iranian babies…This is the lowest of the low.

I’m sharing this message directly from @ahmedmuin_abuamsha who lives in the open - air concentration camp of Gaza.
While the apocalyptic destruction spreads across the Middle East, Gaza has been left to ‘rot’.
The fake ‘ceasefire’ continues to be a fake.
You can clearly hear the sound of war planes overhead as he speaks. After 2+ years this is something that STILL terrifies and threatens everyone. The people of Gaza want to live in peace.. to feed, shelter and clothe their families. They want to be able to send their children to school and college, so that they have a better future ahead…
Is it an anomaly to ask how long will this ‘forever war’ continue?

Yesterday we learned that a mandatory law has been passed by Military Court applying to Palestinian West Bank prisoners accused of killing Israelis will now be sent to death by hanging.
This law will only apply to Palestinians and not to Israelis accused of the same crime.
All while genocide has been taking place against the Palestinian people.
It just gets darker…

We KNOW that the abuse of children is absolutely abhorrent don’t we?
Then how is it possible that we could in ANY WAY not be completely distraught by the atrocities we know to be true???
If the targeting,bombing, torture, amputation, burning, starving and killing of children was taking place
in YOUR country, would you feel any differently????
I suspect that there’s a part of some people’s brains that are completely inured to this abhorrence. Certainly those so called leaders and politicians appear to think it’s actually great! So great that they’ve given loud standing ovations to the main perpetrators…
Have we completely completely lost the plot??!!!!
Imagine that little toddler was YOUR child, with cigarette burns on his thighs….

As a woman of a ‘certain’ age who’s lived enough to be described as being ‘long in the tooth’…
I’ve had a sufficient encounters with misogynistic behaviour to have truly earned my Feminist stripes.. So I just wanted to add my tuppence with regards to @officiallouistheroux’s ‘Manosphere’ - especially regarding the individuals who set themselves up as ‘role models’ to other young men.
In terms of being ‘mature’ ‘balanced’ ‘evolved’ - every one of them fails abysmally.
And THAT is what disturbs me more than anything.
Young men are soft targets for easy influence. Unfortunately, these values and behaviours are so darkly toxic, it’s the equivalent of spreading poisonous chemicals into the zeitgeist. A dangerously disturbing trend.
