The GPF is a high level forum that brings together leaders in Government, civil society and UN agencies to review global progress, set priorities, and make commitments for children affected by HIV and AIDS.

The Forum will be attended by the Irish Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Development Cooperation. High profile speakers include Ann Veneman, CEO, UNICEF; Annie Lennox, singer and activist on behalf of women & children affected by HIV and AIDS; Jimmy Kolker, Chief of the HIV and AIDS programme at UNICEF and the first Lady of Honduras.

A process to engage young people on the issues related to children affected by HIV and AIDS is currently on going globally and will inform the Forum. A group of young activists from East, Southern and West Africa, South America, Asia and the CEE/CIS region will participate in the meeting with their young Irish peers.
