Just putting a nice Buddha out there…
I like the stillness of Buddha statues, although they’re always so inscrutable… like.."WHAT IS HE THINKING"?? !!
But maybe the point is that they’re not supposed to be "thinking" per se. The Buddha statue represents the state of.."not thinking"…or…the potentiality for "enlightenment" out of our constant state of turmoil, confusion and chaos. Perhaps the Buddha statue is not supposed to be revered, or worshipped per se… Perhaps it just serves to remind us of a potential "centre" that we can come back to.
Thoughts? Non thoughts?
