ITCHYCOO PARK… THE SMALL FACES
Released by Mod band The Small Faces in August 1967, together with ” Tin Soldier” and “All or Nothing”, the song was one of the band’s biggest hits and has become a classic of it’s time. Written and conceived by Ronnie Lane, the song’s title is supposed to have been derived from the nickname of Little Ilford Park in Manor Park, London. It’s one of the first records to use “flanging”…as if you didn’t know! One of my all time total faves!
