I spent this afternoon at the Barbican in London, attending the graduation ceremony of hundreds of Open University students. It was very meaningful, at all sorts of levels. First of all, while most graduates are probably in their early twenties, the Open Universitie’s age range goes all the way up to the seventies or eighties. There’s no age limit or bias. To witness people graduate with honours degrees from all walks and times of life is a beautiful thing indeed. It’s noble, courageous, adventurous and humbling. So hats off to all the folks who stepped up to accept their certificates today! Each one of you are outstanding..Bravo to Open University and all who sail in her!
