Message to SING Myspace

Just a little bit more information about the SING video so you can get a deeper sense of  what you’ve been watching...

The little boy dancing in the doorway is one of  four orphaned boys, living with his three brothers by themselves. Their parents both died of Aids. They were are buried in the field behind the hut where they live.
The children with the headphones are all either orphaned, abandoned, or have been taken from their parents because they were being abused in one way or another. They are all being taken care of at Bethany Children’s Home. 
Avelille ( the little girl who is wasted down to skin and bone) was born with HIV, and was seriously ill, going downhill fast, when we encountered her in hospital. Her mother died  of Aids.
Khayakasi...the woman we were taking to the clinic in in a wheelbarrow... Is HIV positive, and was seriously ill with TB ( which is very common, as well as pneumonia).
The graveyard I’m walking in is for children. The open graves have already been dug in preparation for recipients.
All the children you see in the video are either affected or infected by HIV.
The Generics, who wrote and recorded the song JIKELELE are all HIV positive TAC members.

Across the entire continent of Africa this is NOT the exception... It is happening like this EVERYWHERE.
In a wealthy Western country there would be a TOTAL state of emergency
