JANUARY

Tsunami Benefit Concert
Annie performed, along with the likes of Madonna, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Wonder, at a US event called A Concert Of Hope. The concert,  in association with NBC, was broadcast live across the U.S. It raised lots of money for the victims of the Tsunami.

FEBRUARY

Annie Wins A Grammy

Well done to Annie, whose Oscar is now joined by a Grammy! She netted the award, along with Fran Walsh & Howard Shore, for ‘Into The West’, which was the Best Song Written For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. The song is a track from the massively successful film “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.”  This is now her fourth Grammy. Wonderful news!

Make Poverty History
Annie puts her face to the Make Poverty History campaign

46664 Concert
Annie performed with top South African talent for the 46664 concert. Annie agreed to take on the role of ambassador to the artists who appeared, addressing the audience on behalf of the 46664 campaign. She headlined the concert along with Queen, performing her own solo set with her band.

JUNE

Annie Heads To The Arctic
Annie went off to Tromso in Norway, 200miles north of The Arctic Circle to perform ‘Redemption Song’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’ at 46664 Arctic with Mr Nelson Mandela.
